Location: Fort Worth, Texas near TCU (but you can probably be located anywhere in Texas)
Compensation: $80,000 +

At Imperative, when you land a qualified client, you’ll actually see the commission roll in month after month based on the client’s recurring monthly revenue.
That’s because we have a 96% client retention rate. Our amazing operations team takes care of our clients so that they absolutely love us.
In fact, every client has our president’s personal cell phone number. We couldn’t do that if we weren’t taking great care of our clients.
This also means that you won’t have to spend a lot of time trying to save future commissions by maintaining existing clients, troubleshooting after-sale problems, or apologizing for dumb decisions made by some drone in operations.
In other words, you’ll be free to do what you love: be a sales superhero!
This is a hard-core sales job.
Your target market will be mid-sized employers (200-1,000 employees) in Texas.
Your contacts in the market will come primarily from your own efforts to connect with prospects.
You can expect to travel for conference attendance six to eight times per year.
You’ll report to our founder and president. He’s focused on results and has a very low tolerance for BS and a strong no a-hole rule. Beyond those caveats, if you can build a legitimate pipeline and close 7-10 accounts per month, he’s going to leave you alone and let you do your thing.
You’ll also be on our leadership team, meaning that you’ll be involved in our quarterly strategic planning sessions and weekly senior staff meetings.
You’ll earn your $40,000 base with a commission structure designed to double that or more when you hit your targets.
Because our clients are hiring every month, the commission on recurring revenue compounds pretty quickly.
If you’re our ideal candidate, you’ll be able to point to past success connecting with, qualifying, presenting to, and closing leaders in our target market.
Because our sales model is focused on consulting and educating employers, we’d love to find someone with actual HR experience, either in front-line HR, consulting, or sales.
It would be amazing if you have an HR certification.
But, if you’re the right person, we’ll invest to ensure that you have the knowledge to succeed.
