We announced the release of our study of the problems with Texas DPS’ criminal records database late last week. That study is beginning to get some attention. Newspaper and other media outlets across Texas have jumped on the story.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Darren Barbee wrote a great article about the study. The story then hit the Associated Press wire and was picked up by The Houston Chronicle and other newspapers around the state. Austin NBC affiliate KXAN also ran the story as did DFW public radio station KERA.

You can download the study here for more information, including a listing of all the missing death row inmates.
